ABSTRACT
When fish respiration has reduced the dissolved oxygen (DO) tension to the minimum allowable level, water must be reconditioned by aeration to be of further use for fish production. The extent to which water may be reused with aeration as the only treatment measure depends upon the accumulation of toxic metabolic by-products. A detailed description of this fish husbandry parameter follows in Chapter 9.
