ABSTRACT
The decision to change from injection molding to 3D printing first made the design process much simpler. However, problems also rose. The anteversionheads were to be mounted on a polished steel shaft, and really tight tolerances were necessary for the anteversionheads to stay correctly in place, which were of some importance. Within industrial design numerous methods for product development and operational methods have been developed that give an overview to the whole process. There are more specific methods, for instance, to analyze users and behavior, and finally creative methods to develop new concepts. Design methods exist on many levels and in many formats, from operational methods that define a path to do the whole process, from start to end, to specific methods developed for a limited specific use. Big companies very often define their own paths, on the basis of how the companies are structured and what kinds of products they produce/design.
