ABSTRACT

Born in Carbondale, Illinois, he studied at Portsmouth College of Art (1979) and at S. Illinois University (1980), completing his studies at the Central School in London (1981-3). His first solo exhibition was at the Yehudi Menuhin School (1983); in 1995 he exhibited at the Standpoint Gallery in the Economist Plaza, London. A ceramic artist (1978-9), his carved wood abstracts are characterized by jagged folds, as in Shift (1996-7, beech).
