This title was first published in 2003. This multi-disciplinary book not only offers a close examination of the dynamics and politico-economic significance of Korea’s 1997 financial and economic crisis but also provides an accurate assessment of the intertwining economic, social, political and cultural aspects of the relationship between foreign investment and Korea’s new changing economic and market environment, as well as an encompassing analysis of the historical shaping of Korea’s current political economy.
