ABSTRACT

When you deal with the press, either about an article or in response to a request for an opinion, it is important to understand clearly the uses to which any information you provide may be put. The aims and interests of journalists and those of your company or organization do not usually coincide. A journalist's first loyalty is always to his or her readers, not to his or her sources of information. Conversely, your first loyalty is to your company or organization and its reputation.
