ABSTRACT

This chapter proposes the introduction of trust stable analysis pattern. It provides a conceptual model that embodies the main aspects of the trust concept. The level of abstraction of the trust pattern makes it applicable for a wide spectrum of applications. The pattern forms a conceptual model that can be used to analyze and understand the trust concept. The pattern is generic, since it captures only the core knowledge of the trust concept, which makes the pattern applicable to different domains and applications. In addition, the pattern generalizes the properties of trust, thus making the model a reusable one that can be adapted for any kind of application. The extension of the pattern has been studied and illustrated by using two different scenarios, thus verifying that the pattern is a general one. The chapter also differentiates between two main participants in the pattern model: classes and patterns.
