ABSTRACT

The Roberto Cimetta Fund as a Response to Artistic and Cultural Mobility Imbalance Artistic and cultural mobility is a new-old paradigm that has been neglected by scholars in the past but which today is proving crucial in unraveling some of the knots that prohibit global cultural relations. The Roberto Cimetta Fund (RCF) was set up in 1999 to favor artistic and cultural mobility and inter-local cultural development between Europe, the Arab world, and the Middle East. From 2010 onwards, under the dynamic impulse of Ferdinand Richard, Chair of the Fund, mobility for artists and cultural professionals was maintained in a context of growing constraints for Euro-Arab cultural and artistic exchange.
