ABSTRACT

Intel is renowned worldwide for excellence in the production of computer chip technology. Intel's entrance into China is a prime example. In China and India, Intel is working to build a solid customer base by providing public events to showcase the capabilities of its microprocessor-based PCs. Examination of the company, including internal and external environmental factors, corporate and business level strategies, international entrance and cooperative strategies, and global integration objectives will provide useful lessons to other companies involved in international expansion. Intel's mission is to become the preeminent building block supplier to the global computing and telecommunications industries. Intel then turned its attention to external quality efforts, creating partnerships with its suppliers and setting very strict goals. Internationally, Intel has developed a framework of successful global strategies, emphasizing knowledge of local markets. Intel is not the first company in its industry to operate in China.
