ABSTRACT
Green of information technology (IT) encompasses environmentally effective solutions and the use of IT to contribute to environment preservation. Since the green of IT policies became the platform of all the policies in the world, it is very insightful to examine the comparative benefits of the green of IT policies among the major countries. In 2008, the Japanese government organized the public–private partnerships (PPP) committee of green of IT Initiative, to set up the new global standards, to expand international cooperation, and to find out the best practices and benchmarking case studies to the public. Based on the successful history of the telecommunication industry, Korea Telecom (KT) has launched the "Green of IT Vision and Strategy for the Low-carbon Green Growth" in 2009. The most important tasks for green of IT in Samsung are handled in the Environmental Evaluation Lab (EEL).
