ABSTRACT
This chapter highlights some of the core challenges and opportunities concerning league and team governance/operations that have surfaced within the NFL in recent years. The chapter also dissects the ongoing discussions and negotiations between the league and the NFLPA related to reaching an agreement on a new CBA—the current 2011 CBA is scheduled to expire after the 2020 NFL season.
