ABSTRACT
In this chapter magistrates describe the nature of their work in the Children’s Court. Their views about the families who appear before them, their views about the professionals who attend the court and, my observations about how magistrates go about their work in the Court, are included. Magistrates’ comments are identified in the text thus: (M 01), or other number according to which of the 15 magistrates has made the comment.
