Global climate change is one of the greatest challenges ever to confront humanity, with the largest scale, the widest scope, and the most far-reaching influence, and it is also the largest constraint, the greatest challenge, and the greatest background affecting the economic and social development of China in future. The Ecological Deficit: Greatest Crisis of Survival of the Chinese Nation in Future report points out explicitly that "today's ecological environmental problem is closely interrelated with the social and economic activities of the entire world, and it will continuously evolve into a central issue of the survival and development of humanity in the 21st century. China not only will be severely affected by global climate change, but also will have a significant impact on the world's environment in turn". China is one of the countries affected most greatly by global climate change in the world. Climate change has become a hot topic of academic research in China.
