ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the Customizable and Adaptable Methodology for Managing Projects (CAMMP) link to global standards and how they relate to each other. CAMMP includes additional concepts that are not found in the guides or are not adequately addressed. One of the main reasons for using different terminology is the fact that some terms used in the guides might work well for experienced project managers but confuse newcomers to project management. CAMMP is a project management methodological approach consisting of three dimensions. A marketplace reality is that the Project Management Body of Knowledge Guide is extremely popular, although it is not the only project management guide available. CAMMP incorporates the learning from the various global associations–the intention is not to re-invent the wheel but to enhance the practice of project management using the best that exists in the professional community. CAMMP builds on what the associations offer and fills some of their gaps.
