ABSTRACT
The final book chapter depicts the major conclusions of the research along the environmental security in theory, the established framework for analysis CESS, the insights of the empirical analysis and the informing insights for the theory-practice gap. The end of the chapter holds the future challenges and research tasks depicted and the final observation that environmental security should be treated with caution in the way that is mostly referred to and implemented by now. The case is made for referring to the analytical wealth of environmental security in order to evaluate policies, conceptual approaches and cosmologies on the extreme poles along the maintenance of the status quo and socio-ecological normative change.
