ABSTRACT
This book examines the process and impact of government laboratory technology transfer. This introductory chapter provides background on government technology transfer, briefly highlighting recent trends in government technology programs. It then explains the core elements involved in the government technology transfer process in more detail. Next, it discusses the purpose of the book, which presents a qualitative comparative analysis of successful pre-and post-legislation technology transfer cases. Lastly, it outlines the research design for the study, including the philosophical basis, methodology, and potential obstacles.
