ABSTRACT

Many analysts began as clerical help and secretaries, working in back rooms and performing only administrative functions. Times have changed. They are now sought after and hired in large numbers. Their positions have come full circle, and they are now recognized as professional and vital to many law enforcement organizations. Information access is another analytical area that has been addressed by some agencies. The modern era of terrorism has a relatively short but devastating past. One method to effectively address information and intelligence sharing is by streamlining the process and consolidating resources into a one-stop shop. Any investigator who has spent time perfecting interviews and interrogations will tell that quite often there is some truth in any lie. Terrorism has been around for years. It may not be possible to eliminate it completely, but through comprehensive and thorough law enforcement efforts it can be controlled.
