ABSTRACT

The teacher-researchers have reached the preparatory waystation on their action research journey. This chapter briefly steps into the narrative and draws on extracts from teacher-researcher interviews to explore their responses to the research training workshops and the accompanying research guide – their research Baedeker. It discusses the extracts from the teacher-researcher interviews in which they individually recount the different aspects of their literature searches and the excerpts from the formal literature review from the action research reports. The research projects are: supporting self-regulated learning using ICT in workshop classes, using Web 2.0 technology in a special education classroom, fostering creativity using smartboards in a visual arts classroom, achieving academic excellence through teaching skills and content, improving times table automaticity using ICT drill and practice, and asking good questions in the classroom.
