ABSTRACT
Wonder, as philosophers, poets, artists, theologians and spiritual writers have often acknowledged, has inspired intellectual endeavour of every kind. This essay introduces readers to the several forms that wonder assumes, its ambiguities and present debate on it. It explains how the volume is structured around three themes: philosophical, theological and literary, especially poetry.
