ABSTRACT
Originally a contribution to a volume discussing the Turnbull Report that led, inter alia, to the creation of the Archbishops’ Council, this chapter compares it with Methodist experience of changing the structures of its central administration, and discusses the theological issues involved in reshaping church administration in the light of secular models.
