ABSTRACT

The philosopher George Henrik von Wright noted that the gift of language was the central element in the rise of human cultures. Peaceful coexistence, which was also mentioned in the mission statement, seems again to be an attention-grabbing conceptual pairing yet still up for grabs, that is, open to interpretation by different parties. After this brief history of the emergence of peaceful coexistence, a few concluding remarks on its content can be made. First and foremost, however, it must be noted that both the concepts and the community have themselves just started unfolding, and, hence, all suggestions made in this text are preliminary. The main novelty of the peaceful coexistence dialogue could hence be seen, not only in the emancipatory aspirations for all life forms, but particularly in the radical inclusiveness of diverse forms of life in the process: The dialogue to open next would be among all beings, toward a rhetoric of ecological relationships.
