ABSTRACT

This is the first of three chapters devoted to how the SCORS-G can be applied clinically, and its purpose is multifold. First, we will illustrate how patient ratings on SCORS-G dimensions can impact psychotherapeutic processes like therapeutic relationship, style, and interventions. Second, we illuminate how SCORS-G dimensions manifest in patient content. Third, we provide examples of how clinicians can respond to patient content using the measure. Overall, it is our hope that after reading this chapter, clinicians will feel as if they can use the SCORS-G as a supplement to any preexisting personal framework for conceptualizing underlying aspects of personality organization in an experience-near way.
