ABSTRACT
This concluding chapter examines the epistemological place of frequentist statistics in the field of archaeology. It offers justification for the continued use of the approaches outlined in this book, and it advocates for the crucial importance of statistical facts in making inferences about the past irrespective of one’s theoretical orientation. Finally, this chapter looks to the future of archaeological data and the analytical tools that are likely to take on greater importance in times to come.
