ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to provide information on the implementation of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) in China. Firstly, we explain the rationale and urgent need for the implementation of CST. Secondly, we describe the development of the Chinese version of CST, as well as the detailed adaptations made session by session. Thirdly, we report findings from a single-blind randomised control trial (RCT) of the adapted intervention, and provide interpretations of the results. Finally, we review the current application of CST in China, and suggest future directions of CST in this setting.
