ABSTRACT

This chapter provides some of the obtained results and the different used methods in the digital photo analyzes for documenting the mural "Allegory to work" by Felipe Seade and location of repaintings. Photography is a noninvasive analysis method, necessary in scientific cataloging projects of cultural heritage, as well as any intervention process pursuing certain scientific rigor and, together with the other studies, contributes to the analysis of the conservation state of the painting. The study of the painting has been done using different types of analysis, always based on methods and systems that do not involve direct sampling but do provide specific information about the work, the conditions of exhibition and its state of conservation. With the a record of details of specific interest was obtained such as brush type, painting technique, zones clearly repainted which can be identified with a naked eye, and different damages which presents the work.
