ABSTRACT

One of the reasons live-streaming is so much more powerful than other social media, is the real-time interaction between who is presenting and who is watching. The feedback that viewers give is shown on the screen for the host and other viewers to see, and are either written comments or pictorial reactions. According to Facebook, people comment ten times more on Facebook Live videos than on regular videos. If we build a personal connection with people and give them valuable content, we will strengthen the 'know, like and trust' factor. The Facebook Live or Periscope viewer or broadcaster can hide the comments during a show. We may want to do this if the reactions cover too much of what we want to see. There are different kinds of commenters that we will soon become used to, some of whom will disrupt our stream deliberately.
