ABSTRACT

Facebook Live is without a doubt the big beast of the live-streaming world. This chapter teaches about the key features of Facebook Live and the advantages it has over other apps and whether it's right for our business or personal strategy. Live-video is a great way to engage with other members of the same Group or Event page. Pages can pin particularly good comments, or ones made by the broadcaster themselves, to the bottom of a live-stream screen. When watching a once-live show, any comments made are preceded by a timestamp to show at what point in the video it was sent. The emoji-type icons make it easy for viewers to express an opinion in one tap, to save them from typing a sentence or phrase. When followers scroll through their newsfeed, videos start playing with the sound on. Facebook hopes that this will keep more people engaged for longer. Facebook also runs a separate area for internal video collaboration.
