ABSTRACT
With the development of water transportation, the ship lock is playing a more and more important part. The miter gate is one of the most significant facilities for the ship lock. In this paper, different kinds of miter gate for the ship lock gate were introduced, and the characteristics of the miter gate were summarised. The reasons for the metal structure crack were analysed and measures were put forward to solve the problem.
