ABSTRACT
This article highlights the function of MAC layer which works in the Endpoint mode, in the Physical Layer based on the PCIe 2.0 protocol. After the study of the protocol, the forward design and verification is adopted. Simulation was performed using NC which is the Cadence’s simulation tool, to communicate with the peer device in the 500 MHz. Two channels are used for data transmission in the design. The transmission rate is 5.0 G/second/lane/direction. In the end, we use SMIC 65 ns to synthesis. According to the simulation results, it is confirmed that the design works properly and meets the protocol requirements.
