ABSTRACT

Miniaturization of microstrip open-loop resonators is a key concern in design of microstrip components including an open loop. Fragment-type structures provide great flexibility in loading the open loop for miniaturization and other desired characteristics. With multi-objective optimization technique, miniaturized open loop can be readily designed, and specific requirements on characteristics such as parasitic resonant mode, quality factor, and loading density of the open loop may also be acquired with fragment-type loading.
