ABSTRACT

FlexRay is recognised as the next generation of high speed vehicle communication standards. The real-time and reliability of the dynamic message transmission has an important effect on vehicular communication safety. For the FTDMA, the media access control of the dynamic segment, a two-layer message scheduling mechanism based on the Periodic Servers (PSS) is proposed. The worst case response times of messages under PSS are analysed, and also a sufficient schedule ability condition is deduced. The parameter configuration for the dynamic segment and PSS is modelled as the binary non-linear integer programming to maximise the utilisation under the constraint of schedulability of the dynamic segment. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the PSS and parameter configuration, which can effectively improve the utilisation and the real-time of the dynamic segment.
