ABSTRACT

By preparing Mg0.15Zn0.85O film on quartz substrates using sol-gel technology, this paper focuses on the effect of annealing treatment on the optical property of film. The result shows that the film is an amorphous structure without annealing treatment, and it is a polycrystalline structure under four kinds of annealing temperature: 600°C, 700°C, 800°C and 900°C. The crystal quality of film under 800°C and 900°C is worse than under 600°C and 700°C. All films at UV range exist strong edge absorptions, and the absorption edges exhibit red shift with annealing temperature rising; all films have strong UV emission peaks, and the emission peaks exhibit red shift with annealing temperature rising. Moreover, there are green emission peaks around 500 nm.
