ABSTRACT

It is salutary to pause, before becoming involved in the intricacies of internal relations, to discover how much of airline organisation is directly concerned with external relations. A close study of airline organisation reveals that a considerable part of it works immediately for the benefit of other parts. A great deal of activity is concerned with internal relations. The product of one component of organisation becomes an element in another. Organisation appears to be pre-occupied with the problems of its own survival. So to put the matter into perspective this section ends with a brief review of the parts that deal with the sorts of people referred to in the preceding chapters.
