Entering a New Era in Hospital and Public Health Collaboration for Community Benefi t

Some portion of our poor health can be attributed to ineffective delivery of health services. We do not have universal fi nancial access to health care, and we have a poor primary care system, the keystone of medical care. The quality of care we provide is frequently questioned, with abundant stories of confusion, lack of communication and poor coordination between the various components of the U.S. system (if it could be called a system).
