ABSTRACT

People who are talented usually shine in more than one area. This means one can shift talent around in the organization when business needs change. Talent attracts talent. Great people want to work with other great players. Passive candidates are those people who are employed and are not looking for a new opportunity. Many employers are much more interested in passive candidates than active candidates. Magnetic leaders tend to be good at building relationships. These relationships are what really keep employees from being pulled away by forces that, quite frankly, can be very attractive, such as the promise of more pay, an exciting assignment, or a lofty job title. There are many benefits to having people remain with the organization, including being known as a place where people really like to work. The key to pulling top talent towards people is strong relationships.
