ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on how hiring practices enables to hire the right people. Most companies are taking way too long to hire people, and in the process they are losing great candidates to the competition. The world of hiring, as we know it, has changed dramatically. Make a list of everyone involved in the hiring process. There is absolutely no need for everyone on the team to interview the newest team member. Hiring has to be a priority. A comparable thing happens in the hunt for talent. People follow the crowd when they should instead be looking for talent where no one else is looking. There are many benefits to hiring mature workers, including the fact that most would not be out partying on weeknights and will likely arrive at the office on time on a consistent basis. The majority of compensation systems do not work given today's highly competitive recruitment environment.
