ABSTRACT

Coach William Leonard is in his seventeenth season as the head football coach at Oak Bower High School in North Point, Indiana. He began his career at Oak Bower as a student intern while completing his education degree and gradually moved up the ranks. Oak Bower has about 200 students in grades 9 through 12, and the football team has an average of 30 kids dress out each year. Coach Leonard is well liked in the community, and even though the team averages a .500 season every year, the small town is content with the job he is doing. His team made it into the first and second rounds of the AA state playoffs a few times in the last 10 years, but the team isn’t considered a power program by any measure.
