ABSTRACT
Kristin Brighten stares out the window of her small office; snow drifts down and makes the mountainous Colorado landscape almost perfect this morning. The beautiful area is one of the reasons she and her husband moved here. But as great as this would look on a greeting card, Kristin knows the weather is going to create problems with her track team this afternoon. Although the team has a provisional plan to deal with problematic weather later in the season, this snowfall so early is unexpected. Sighing, Kristin picks up her schedule and heads out of her office to see the athletic director. She expects that this meeting with her AD is not going to work out in her favor since the AD is also the men’s head basketball coach and he is prepping the team for a big game this weekend.
