ABSTRACT
Bagaar developed a 3D configurator for BekaertDeslee, a worldwide player in the bedding textile industry. Bagaar is an interactive design bureau that was founded in 2008 in Antwerp, Belgium. Bagaar have built the configurator around three main features: the BekaertDeslee iPad App, the browser-based cloud platform, and the 3D designer software. The browser-based cloud version of the app allows customers to manage their own samples. An extensive library of samples can be updated, shared and used immediately in configurations. Configurations can be saved and shared with colleagues. The BekaertDeslee mattress configurator definitively involves and facilitates the work of designers, salespeople, and clients and is an added value to the whole supply chain. Salespeople, designers, and clients are able to generate print-friendly versions of their configurations that list all the components and their fabrics, including a 3D rendering of the mattress.
