ABSTRACT
This chapter includes data on a large number of optical materials. The data were assembled by searching available sources such as existing handbooks and other compilations and also the scientific and technical literature into 1990. Data are collated and presented in formats intended to be readily useful to the reader, who is presumed to be an engineer, designer, or other applied scientist. Thus, lengthy discussions, even of the possible accuracy of the data, are largely avoided. It is hoped that the reader/user will be able to extract the needed information rapidly from the tables and graphs.
