ABSTRACT

Photogeneration in charge-transfer complexes of tetracyanobenzene with acridine, durene, fluorene, and quinoline was studied by Miniewicz et al. (1988). The spectral, intensity, and temperature dependencies of the photocurrent were similar for all materials. From the activation energies of the photocurrent, it was suggested that the photogeneration involves the thermal dissociation of the lowest-lying charge-transfer state, similar to that proposed for tetracyanobenzene anthracene charge-transfer complexes (Samoc and Williams, 1983).
