ABSTRACT
This chapter of the book describes a new method for designing magnetic components for electronic equipment. Detailed design procedures using this method and design examples for transformers and inductors are given. The new method is based on the geometry of the magnetic core. The geometry is symbolized by the constant Kg. The design is an improvement over the AP (area product) method popularly used today and first introduced in 1927.
