ABSTRACT

Column 1 in Tables 11, and 12 gives the AWG wire number for the most commonly used sizes. Columns 2 and 3 give the bare area in the commonly used circular mils notation and in the metric equivalent. Column 4 gives the equivalent resistance in microhm per centimeter. Columns 5 and 6 give the area of the wire with heavy synthetic insulation for both circular mils and metric equivalent. Columns 7 and 8 give the nominal diameters including insulation in both inch and metric equivalent. Columns 9 and 10 are turns per linear length in inches and centimeters. Columns 11 and 12 give turns per square inch and turns per square centimeter based on a fill factor ratio of 0.60. Column 13 gives the weight of the wire insulation in grams per centimeter.
