ABSTRACT

Video networking requires two capabilities: camera handoff and camera selection. Camera handoff is a dynamic process by which the system transfers the tracking of an object from one camera to another without losing the object in the network. It is clear that a manual camera handoff will become unmanageable for a large number of cameras. Furthermore, it is unrealistic to display and manually monitor surveillance
