ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the results of experimental studies on the influence of angle on temperature measurements using infrared camera. It describes the influence of emissivity coefficient changing in camera on the result of temperature measurement. The main aim of the experimental studies was to show the effect of selected parameters on temperature measurement using infrared camera. The thermovision camera is a perfect tool for noncontact measurement. Measurements were carried out under laboratory conditions using a setup consisting of a camera and an infrared radiator. In the experiment, infrared cameras were used with different spatial resolution, thermal resolution, matrix size, angle of view, and temperature ranges. The main aim of the experimental studies was to show the effect of selected parameters on temperature measurement using infrared camera. A broad convergence of a series of measurements for different cameras can be observed during the analysis of the obtained graphs.
