ABSTRACT
The telecommunication started with voice or speech of one person reaching another person at a distance that was beyond the range of the direct sound. The point-to-point local telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. The need to talk to more people gave birth to manual telephone exchange, and subsequently, to automatic telephone exchanges, and our need to talk to the people in other cities gave birth to the long-distance communication.
