ABSTRACT

Ionization cross sections and dissociation fragments produced by electron impact in the energy range from 10 to 70 eV have been measured by Jiao et al. (2001). The major neutral fragments produced from electron impact ionization at low energies (≤16 eV) are C2H5 and C2H6. Figure 137.2 shows the total ionization cross sections and cross sections for selected fragment ions. Note the relative contribution of the parent ion C8H18+ to the total.
