ABSTRACT

Information and communication technology (ICT) by definition is an umbrella term that includes any communication device or application, encompassing radio, television, cellular phones, computer and network hardware and software, satellite systems, as well as the various services and applications associated with them. ICT covers such a wide spectrum of technologies and applications that it is wise to allocate part of the curriculum to discussing what ICT is and how it could be effectively utilized in school work and beyond graduation in work environments. Content development is a key for the integration of ICT in teaching and learning. Embedding ICT in education and training systems requires further changes across the teaching and learning environments of classrooms in workplaces and even informal learning settings. E-Government refers to how managers and supervisors utilize ICT and the Internet to execute their functions of supervising, planning, organizing, coordinating, and staffing effectively.
