ABSTRACT
Petri nets are widely used as a tool for modeling, simulation, performance evaluation, and control of automated manufacturing systems (AMS). Because of the complexity of AMS, regular PNs must be extended for their various applications. Thus, various extensions to regular PN have been made. For different goals, different extended PNs are used. Thus, it is meaningful to analyze the differences and applicability among different extended PNs.
