ABSTRACT
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) as shown in Figure 11.1 have attracted wide attention of research communityduringthepastfewyearsinapplicationsrangingfromenvironmentalmonitoring,heathcare, tomission-criticalindustrialandmilitaryapplications.¥isgrowinginterestcanbelargelyattributed tonewapplicationsenabledbylarge-scalenetworksofsmalldevicescapableofharvestinginformation from the physical environment [AMC07], performing simple processing on the extracted data and transmitting it to remote locations.
