ABSTRACT
Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) has been identifi ed as a critical real-time application in the network quality of service (QoS) research community. Transmission of voice traffi c must meet stringent requirements on packet delay as it is an important factor affecting
quality of call. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) recommends that a oneway delay between 0 and 150 ms is acceptable in Recommendation G.114 [1].
